Ottorino De Lucchi was born in Ferrara, on 8 November 1951. He graduated in Chemistry 1975 and 1977 Pharmacy at the University of Padua. And 'member of the Italian Chemical Society in 1977, where he served as President of the Division of Organic Chemistry since 1979 and is a member of the American Chemical Society.
